Looking out at Jeannie's back yard
This view of my back yard is looking towards the woods that runs across the back yard. The flowers on the right are in our wildflower garden beneath the gnarly old Pear tree...They've gone rather wild here in June, but in the early Spring Virginia Bluebells flourish there, and wildflowers of every sort....from Giant trillum ,Blood root and Spring beauties before the trees get their leaves, to wild Geraniums and the like later on...If you walked along this path right now you would smell the wild Roses that are in bloom.....
What looks like an old post on the left is in fact a log timber of some sort rescued from the burn pile of a renovation to a farm house built in 1830....Son Richard lived there for a good while...at the "Funny Farm", as we called it....If this timber could talk it might tell you of the many stage coaches it saw drive past ...as it was on the stage route, or about seeing the Indians trudging past as they followed the infamous Trail of Tears West....In the Spring clouds of pink flowers cover the peach trees down there between the yard and the garden...Jeannie T
